Life, for me has been busy, fun and full! My journey of living content has been centered around growing spiritually and continually being thankful for the many blessings that I have received. Never had I imagined that our pipe dream of owning a little red truck would become a reality. But, God has allowed a cute, cherry red gem to roll our way…right into our hearts! I shared my dream with some girl friends during a girls night out. We all chatted about Gods goodness and life paths and all things thoughty….and I mentioned my red truck obsession and how much fun it would be to own one. We ended that night praying and asked God to continue to lead our lives and give direction. And I remember coming away from that evening feeling thankful and satisfied .
A couple of months later one of the friends that had been at that evening of sharing approached me and showed me a picture of the most perfect, cute ruby red vintage truck! One step led to the next step. We prayed about this potential opportunity and…..a few weeks later, we found ourselves on an afternoon adventure that included navigating a warehouse filled with project cars. But our attention was drawn to a dusty little truck tucked in between two faster, modern rides. There, right there, my heart skipped a beat! I brushed an inch thick layer of dust off of the hood and revealed a deep red finish. The realization that we happened upon this gem of a vintage truck was almost too much to contain our emotions!
We left there that day, sharing our dream of owning a red truck with the owners and asking them to consider selling it, along with an asking price. We waited for a response and prayerfully hoped only for Gods best with the outcome. We even wrote to the owners, sharing our faith journey. And not long after, we received a call with their asking price. They had decided to sell! We were over the moon to say the least! Plans were made, and shortly thereafter, we brought our new little treasure home! We were now, in fact, owners of a 1939 International pick up truck! Woot! Woot!
This new journey has found us excited, grateful and dreaming all things red truck!!
