January warming and ground sludge has given way to, undoubtedly an incorrect sense that winter snow has passed us by, taunting me with false hope of warmer days on the near horizon. It’s safe to say that a slight reprieve from snow and frigid temperatures here in Michigan holds a silent control over many of us longing for Spring and warmer days. Getting hopes up that it’s time to plot and plan ahead for spring time activities will surely be halted when winter comes storming back ! But, a girl can dream ! Our little vintage camper ! She’s holding her own out on the backside of the property. She’s exposed , swaying a bit in the howling winds and unpredictable rain that has continued for days. The snow has all but almost completely melted and , we are happy for that. Creek water has risen high and flowing fast. The little red ham, fondly being called Ruby, now has proven to be waterproof so, that’s good too! We have gone out to pay a visit with this little jewel and standing inside of her has prompted dreaming of all of the possibilities! New life for this little red trailer! Change is going to come ! Her resurrection occupies a new place in my heart! She has telltale signs of a past that has held mystery and adventure!. I’m hopeful that her new chapter will be filled with even more fun and many more stories! Propping her up and giving her a promise of ongoing purpose has seemed to become a bit of a daily quest for me, one filled with suggestions and search. Vintage campers hold a lot of intrigue! Stories of simpler times , clever recountings of this aged gem, back in the era of its prime! A sense of non negotiable nostalgia continues to guide the soul search in keeping little Ruby on her path of continued memorable imprint, while be mindful that preserving her dignity must be the guiding force. Working on a plan for Ruby’s new assignment has warded off the doldrums of January down time ,offering a smile and dreams of warm and sunnier days soon to come! A restoration plan is soon to be unfolding . Soon Red Truck and Trailer will be gaining a new friend! Hold on Ruby, we’re coming for ya!!!!
